Ledbury Market Surgery and St Katherine’s Surgery, Ledbury  -
How we’re operating during the Coronavirus Pandemic

In response to the Coronavirus crisis, Ledbury surgeries have changed the way in which they are operating.

Please note that Ledbury Market Surgery premises has been repurposed for the duration of the crisis. It is now being staffed by GPs and healthcare staff drawn from across the county and is not open to any patients who have not specifically been advised to go there by their surgery.

Ledbury Market Surgery is now operating from St Katherine’s Surgery. Although the two surgeries are temporarily sharing the same premises, they are still operating as two separate surgeries with their own doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and support staff. If you need any medical attention or advice, please continue to call your usual surgery telephone number.

We are trying to minimise the number of patients who come to the surgery, so please do not come here unless prior arrangements have been made for you to do so. However, we would like to stress that both Market Street and St Katherine’s surgeries are open and it is important that you telephone us if you have a medical concern or need medical advice.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please consider registering for online access

In response to the Coronavirus crisis, and in order to minimise the risk of infection, we are discouraging all unnecessary visitors to the surgery.

With this in mind, we are asking everyone who has internet access to please use our online systems, for example to order repeat prescriptions. Not only does this method reduce the risk for you and our medical staff but electronic processes can also be much quicker and more efficient than more traditional methods.

If you have not already set up your online account, please telephone the surgery and they will quickly and easily provide you with information on how to get started.

We understand that not everyone has access to the internet. If that’s the case for you, you can continue to telephone for help. Please do not come to the surgery unannounced.

Many thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Responses to Patient Enquiries about the Merger

Dr Chris Hiley, one of the long-standing Doctors at the surgery, has retired from Ledbury Market Practice, with effect from 31 July 2018. As a result of this decision, the other partners, Dr John Pritchard and Dr Rob Davies, decided they no longer wanted to be the contract holder for services, but certainly wanted to continue delivering excellent care to you, the patients.

As of 1st August 2018, Taurus Healthcare has been awarded the contract to provide your General Practice services, will be managing the surgery, and responsible for service delivery.

Please be assured, you will continue to receive the range of services currently being provided, and that you will be able to access these services at Market Street Surgery.
